How to close your Skype account

There might be many reasons to close your Skype account like,
  1. You might have multiple Skype accounts and want to organize by deleting the duplicate accounts.
  2. You might just don't need your skype account.
  3. People searching on skype using you name are getting confused which profile to choose bothers you this might be a duplicate of number 1 but to emphasize on the point I'll keep this one too. :)
First of all, before jumping on to the deleting of your Skype account. The first question you should ask is, "Can I use Skype without my Microsoft account?"

The answer is: "Skype is one of a range of consumer services those are accessed through a Microsoft account. It is not possible to separate your Skype profile from your Microsoft account. If you close your Microsoft account, in addition to not being able to sign in to or access Skype, you'll no longer be able to sign in to other Microsoft consumer products or services such as Outlook.com, Office Online, OneDrive, Xbox Live, or Windows."

So Before you close your Microsoft account, let's make sure you aren't leaving anything important relating to Skype behind:
